I have been trying something different with good results but I don't know if it is random or based upon player performance.  After I have a 100+ games in a league I have been looking at my minor leaguers matchup vs L/R.  Sometimes a AAA player does well against one hand or the other.  I have begun to sit players with less than stellar matchups in favor of the AAA even if it means sitting a R/L matchup for a L/L matchup.  Does Sim track the actual performances versus L/R of the players it sims or is it just random results? 

Without getting into a big discussion on the "randomness" issue, it sure seems that certain players, whether they be lefties or righties, frequently have a hard time hitting pitchers who throw from their batting side.  I think Ruth is one of them. Lefties kill him.
