Defense from a catcher is so easy to play match-ups with. If you have a backup SS with a great glove, I suppose you can play him when you have a pitcher on the mound who gets a lot of balls in play, but even then the difference isn't huge. With a catcher though, if there's only 5-6 teams in the league that run a lot, you can just save the A+ arm for these games and be pretty safe against the run for the season. I think the price is a little out of whack, but admin is correct is putting a higher premium on catcher defense compared to other positions when looking at low PA guys.
