Amateur draft settings Topic

I had my settings for the 1st and supplemental rounds at "very conservative" which is defined as "will draft only players that are openly signable."

However my supplemental pick was a guy who was "Looking to be drafted in the first five rounds. If not, he'll probably accept a scholarship to play DI college baseball."

Now his reply to my offering him his demands is "Erv is content with your offer, but is still unclear about his future. College is still an option, so he's gonna take his time with this decision. He'll let you know if anything changes."

Can any HBD vets explain what happened or what it is I am misunderstanding?

He was drafted within the first five rounds, and according to his signability statement, he is openly signable for the first five rounds.  Don't worry, he'll sign.
