Which PG would you prefer in D3 for the press defense?

Recruit 1: WE 32

Speed 56 Low   Ball Handling 61 High
Rebounding 3 Low   Passing 24 High
Defense 39 High   Stamina 76 Average
Shot Blocking 8 Low   Durability 14 Average
Low-post 24 Low   FT Shooting   High

Recruit 2: WE 33
Athleticism 26 Average   Perimeter 21 High
Speed 66 High   Ball Handling 57 High
Rebounding 13 Average   Passing 47 High
Defense 24 Average   Stamina 70 High
Shot Blocking 1 Low   Durability 42 Low
Low-post 30 High   FT Shooting   Average

Thanks in advance

I would personally go with no.1, because I am a 3-pt shooting whore, but no.2 may be better for the press. He will be an ideal PG, because of BH and PA. And with his speed, he will be a good DIII defender.

That said, no.1 would be a very good SG in my opinion.

#2 will be a scoring machine

I had a third player in mind to play SG, I like his combo of ATH/SPD, but do you guys think he'd be a better SG than recruit 1 above?

Recruit 3: WE 48
Athleticism 31 High   Perimeter 25 High
Speed 62 High   Ball Handling 56 Low
Rebounding 12 Average   Passing 35 High
Defense 28 High   Stamina 67 High
Shot Blocking 10 Low   Durability 34 Low
Low-post 12 Average   FT Shooting   High

Thanks for your opinions guys, I'm just trying to decide between these guys

I think you've got to go for #2, if you're looking for a PG.  The defense number won't be great, but the speed and stamina will be huge assets.  I agree with car_crazy: #1 would be a very nice SG, but I think may get eaten alive when facing fast PGs.

I posted before I saw recruit #3.  It may be the decision is really influenced by WE and to a lesser extent by HSGPA.  I usually play M2M and favor defense always, but in the press those high speed & high stamina's can just give opposing teams fits.

I'd take #3. I'm worried about the speed of #1, and the defense of #2 for press. #3's eventual combo of ATH / SPD / DEF / STA will make him an absolute stud defensively. And once his PAS improves into the 50's (and possibly a lot higher), he should get more than his share of both assists and trips to the FT line (where he also has high potential).

#2 is the only legitimate PG in the group.  #3 is the best all-around player.  Sounds like you can take both of them, so that's good.  I don't really like to take a guy who will have #2's defensive struggles, but if you need a PG he's your guy.  At least out of these 3.  It can be hard to find D3 PGs anymore who have a legitimate BH/Pass combo with adequate ATH and DEF to be good on that end of the court.

#2 won't be nearly as bad defensively in the press as he would be in other defenses.  with his speed he can still generate a lot of steals that could turn into easy buckets.  that said 2 and 3 are light years ahead of #1 in my book. i'd like to have both, but if i could only get one and i needed a pg to start right away or as early as next season i'd def take #2.  if i could wait a year to get a starting pg then i'd probably take #3
