So he would actually sign with me even though he's not consdiering me.

Man this game is buggy lately.  This reminds me of the issues now that guys showing up on your DII or DIII won't necessarily consider a DII/DIII school.

So f'd up.

Sometimes it just takes an extra cycle for the guy to show up on your considering list. Otherwise it might be one of the two options listed above.

yes - offered a schollie and open slot.  Got that email that he all of a sudden wants to sign but he's not considering me.  Not a big deal as I found other people I want more, but I could see how he would sign out of the blue and I wouldn't get one of the other one's I thought I had.

It's 100% a bug, this never used to happen as far as I can remember.

This is a possibility.  

The engine may have went through your recruiting cycle before anyone else.  At that time, you were his number 1 choice.  Once the engine went through, another (or multiple) team may have entered the picture that would've cause the player to drop you from consideration.  Just wait it out for another cycle. 

He's not considering anyone else.
