DOJ and their Billions of dollars Topic

A couple of days ago the Dept. of Justice received a 500 million dollar settlement from Google.

Over the last 2 years they've collected billions from seizing funds from payment processing companies that handle on-line poker money.

What happens to all of this extra revenue?

How can these govt agencies collect so much money and yet we still keep going further in debt?

And then propose the answer is the government simply needs even MORE revenue?

The government is set up to spend as much as it can. Each department does everything it can to make itself look like something that Americans cannot live without.

So when we talk about 5% cuts everyone goes nuts. Americans will die if We get cut, everyone screams!

Does that seem possible? That the only thing standing between disaster and the status quo is the current federal budget?

Picture a family with a father that had a great job and got raises every year. So his company is in rough times and he doesnt get a raise this year, he gets a cut. Would this family stop going to the doctor and let their house get repossesed or would they cut extras like meals out and the premium cable package?

Same thing!
