Onu and Key, thanks for taking a 2nd team. I will do so as well. Sorry I have not been on the site much. I have played Live a bit but that was pretty much it in between job search and preparing for Hurricane Irene.

Onu, since you took a NL team, your 2nd team will have to be in the AL. There is 1 AL park left and that is Comiskey, so you have both Chicago teams. Harry Caray is looking down and smiling at you.

Eman, since you have only 1 team (NL), you get first choice of the remaining 3 parks: Polo Grounds in New York, Forbes Field in Pittsburgh, and Sportsman's Park in St. Louis.

Key, after Eman selects, you have your choice of the remaining 2 NL parks for your 2nd team. I will take the last NL park standing.

When this is all done, I will set a date to begin the draft. I hope to start drafting by Thursday morning.

Good luck to everyone.

Eman takes Forbes.

Key, you want Polo Grounds or Sportsman's Park?

Key takes Sportsman's Park, which means I get Polo Grounds.

Draft to begin on Friday. Details to follow.

Alignment:

NL East: Boston, Brooklyn, New York, Philadelphia

NL West: Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago, St. Louis

In the NL, the Boston franchise will move to Milwaukee in 1953. It will stay in the NL East. In 1958, the Brooklyn franchise will move to Los Angeles and the New York franchise will move to San Francisco. They will switch divisions with Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. Anything that happens from 1962 forward will depend on the parks being used, as this league will not necessarily expand at the same time.

AL East: Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington

AL West: Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, St. Louis

In the AL, the St. Louis franchise will move to Baltimore in 1954. A year later, the Philadelphia franchise will move to Kansas City. These 2 teams will switch divisions in 1955. Anything that happens from 1961 forward will depend on the parks being used, as this league will not necessarily expand at the same time. The Washington franchise will have the first option of moving to Minnesota in 1961, but if it stays put, must leave Washington by the start of the 1972 season, the new Senators' first year as the Texas Rangers.

THIS IS A TEST! I DREW IT! NOT THE REAL DRAFT ORDER!

Here is your sequence:

5 11 1 13 15 14 2 12 8 3 10 7 16 9 6 4

Timestamp: 2011-08-31 15:58:33 UTC

As an objective non-league participant, I have been asked by league commish to generate a sequence from random.org to act as a draft order.   I have done so...here goes:

5 8 12 6 13 10 11 7 1 2 14 15 16 4 9 3

Timestamp: 2011-08-31 15:58:17 UTC

The above corralates with the list of owners and stadiums at the top of page 1 of this thread. Not exactly rocket science. So the draft order in all ODD-numbered rounds is as follows. It reverses in all EVEN-numbered rounds.

1st pick: 5) keymaster - Boston (AL East)
2nd pick: 8) kleinevoet - Philly (later KC, then Oakland) (AL East)
3rd pick: 12) brian1648 - Boston (later Milwaukee, then Atlanta) (NL East)
4th pick: 6) cleonjones - NY (AL East)
5th pick: 13) onubears4656 - Chicago (AL West)
6th pick: 10) joshkvt - Philly (NL East)
7th pick: 11) eman7400 - Pittsburgh (NL West)
8th pick: 7) onubears4656 - Chicago (NL West)
9th pick: 1) donaldjtrump - DC (later Minnesota) (AL East)
10th pick: 2) leeelci - Brooklyn (later LA) (NL East)
11th pick: 14) keymaster - St. Louis (NL West)
12th pick: 15) 9ookoloo - Cleveland (AL West)
13th pick: 16) donaldjtrump - New York (later San Fran) (NL East)
14th pick: 4) billingsby - Cincy (NL West)
15th pick: 9) pi_kapp - St. Louis (later Baltimore) (AL West)
16th pick: 3) evetsirot - Detroit (AL West)

As you can see, I pick last in each of my divisions, including the AL East which picks 1st, 2nd, and 4th. It's gonna be a long 10 seasons!

Snake draft right?
8/31/2011 12:44 PM
Yes, a snake draft, only for this season. All future drafts will be the same order every round, worst 3 teams with 40+ Live games are in a lottery for top 3 picks, and the playoff teams pick the last 4, with the rest in reverse order of record.
