Long A and B settings Topic

Wondering...  If Long A and Long B pitchers are set to be available in inning "4" does that mean they can enter anytime after inning 3? Even inning 8 or 9? If they are set to be available at "any" will Sparky use them just like a Setup A guy? I normally set all of my pitchers to be available at "any" except for my closer.

How does Sparky interpret Long Relief Pitchers verses SetUp pitchers if all are set to be available at "any" time. Or doesn't he?

I posted a long thread on bullpen use a while back - just bumped it for you - that touches on this.

Hope you find it helpful, and please excuse the number of posts that are negatively rated.  Apparently someone on the site found it enjoyable to go through and negatively rate every post I made for a while.  You have to love some people's maturity.

Thanks contrarian! Ocasionally I've seen my Long A get brought in to pitch in the 8 th or 9th inning instead of my Setup A. Last instance was in a 2-2 tie game. My closer was available but was set to enter only in a save situation so all is right there, but I had 3 setup A pitchers and 2 of the 3 were not fatigued past my rest setting of 85%. They weren't 100% and my Long A guy was 100%. Maybe that is why he came in.

I don't think it's anything personal.  I've noticed that whenever I've given someone a thumb's up that pushed him up to forum Rookie, within a few hours -- or a day at most -- that person's been knocked back down to forum Prospect.  Some people have the oddest hobbies...

By the way, contrarian, I gave you a thumb's up right after I posted the above, and that bumped you up to Rookie.  Now I check back 90 minutes later, and you're back to Prospect...
