... do you give a guy? Both before and after getting the maxed out email.

usually 10, then 0.

if's he's high potential, maybe 12. still 0 after max out.

until at some point he's maxed in a ton of stuff, after which i go back to 8. because i'm too lazy to track it closely, so might miss a drop if it ever happened.

I have never seen a rating drop after getting the maxed out e-mail, so I set that to zero from then on, but I don't follow FT as closely because I don't get the red line showing a drop.

I've had two players get the max out e-mail within 48 hours of having bumped up to the next letter grade in FT, and neither one dropped back to a lower grade after being zeroed. Not a large sample size, but an FYI for anyone who cares.
