Red Shirt an Academic Ineligible Player? Topic

I have a player that is coming off an academic ineligible season.  If I red shirt them when they are SO will they be able to be a SR/5 or will they graduate after 5 years and lose that 5th year?

What about promising minutes to an ineligible... when the hell does that apply to, the next season?

Promises only last for the season they were made in. Making promises of start/minutes to an ineligible can help you sign him and won't bite you unless he passes his SAT before the season starts.

like Weena says - there is always the chance the kid will pass his test and become eligible, and those promises will count...
