Some may remember that 4 seasons ago we in the SEC in Tark ran a promotion to try to fill the conference. This has been a spectacular success, as all 5 previously empty schools have made strong gains and the conference as a whole has risen considerably. We are at a B conference prestige, finished 4th in conference RPI and put 9 in the post-season (6 NT, 3 PIT).
South Carolina will be open as the coach is retiring from HD. Over the 4 seasons of this challenge, brad_23 has taken the Gamecocks from cellar dwelling 3-24 (0-16 in conference) to a solid 14-13 (6-10). Over that same period the whole conference has grown more competitive, so to grow a program in that environment is no small feat. These ***** run Triangle/Man, and while they lose 5 seniors, they return 4 solid juniors, and the openings (plus the $26,667 in tourney cash) will help reload quickly.
