1) I mean you're giving up more offensive boards than you're getting AND you're turning the ball over more times per game than your opponent. If you can average five more possessions a game than your opponent AND shoot 5% better from the field, you should be a 70-win team no matter what cap or theme you're playing in.
2) Everyone shoots better when you run up-tempo. I'm not convinced that the percentage of your possessions that ends in a turnover goes up at all - only the total number of them - and that's what's important.
Turn-over percentage does go up with up-tempo, but, for most to all teams, total offensive effency does go up as well. (more ORs, better FG%) At the beginning of the season, I was getting so many turnovers that I was thinking that I had actually managed to hit on a formula where my efficency might be going down and I just haven't changed it. Now, the superstitious part of my mind won't let me change it back.
