Lately I've been wondering why I would ever put a future ML guy or even more so a future stud any lower than AAA? 

He gets the best minor league coaching at AAA which should help him develop quicker than if he was being coached by coaches with lower ratings from rookie ball on up........

The only flaw i can see here is that a guy might not like sitting at AAA for 2-4 yrs.......these computer generated players may actually "want" the feeling of getting promoted.

WIS claims promotions help with development.  They don't say which counts more, coaching ratings or promotions.

I've started testing this theory with draft picks & IFA that project to be at best 24-25 man talent.  Starting some at AA and some at Rookie or Low A to see if I can determine any impact on development.

I won't have enough players to get significant results for a long time.  And my results will also be influenced by how I hire coaches and if I decide to keep an adequate coach at a level rather than deal with coach hiring (which I hate).

So my test will mostly be futile.
