If you are an experienced coach looking for a challenging rebuild, take a look in Phelan in D3 at Christopher Newport in the USA South. USA South is the strongest conferece - it looks like this year, at least half of the teams will make the NT. We have 10 human coaches, and most of them have won national championships at one point or another. There are 2 open teams, Greensboro, and Christopher Newport.

Christopher Newport is 9-14 right now with a 204 RPI and 110 SOS. They are 1-12 in the conference, eeking out a 1 point win over Ferrum for their only conference win. In their 41 year history, they have never made the NT, and have won the conference Championship once, never winning the CT. They have an 401-717 all time record a .359 winning percentage, ranked #379 out of 384 D3 teams. They have a .216 winning percentage in the CT, which is the worst in D3.

If CNU is taken, please take Greensboro, and join a full conference of active, experienced coaches.

They have 6 Juniors and 5 sophomores too, so in 3 years, you would have a pretty much custom designed team. The USA South will probably send 5-8 teams to the NT this year, so even though there are no open scholarships, you could probably drop a player or two and have enough to drop one of the not so good players, to get an early start on the rebuild. With the number of seniors and juniors that will be on the team, it is very possible that a good human coach could get the prestige up before recruiting the second year.

Someone is taking the challenge apparently, because that team is gone, but there is still one team left in the USA South to make it a full conference. It is Greensboro. A few years ago it was one of the top teams in the conference. It's still a much better team than their 8-16 record would indicate, since they have the #23 SOS. It would not be too hard to build this team into a powerful team because of the recruiting dollars generated from the conference consistently placing so many teams in the National Tournament. Hopefully one more experienced coach will join the conference.

Come join us in Phelan, in the USA South at Greensboro.  At this moment it looks like we may get 7 teams into the NT, and Palm Beach Atlantic has a great chance of winning the title, since they are currently #1 at 24-0 and have not won by less than 10 points in any game, with an average margin of victory of about 23 points against the #7 strength of schedule.

Greensboro has 3 seniors, 3 juniors, 4 sophomores and 2 freshmen, with a 535 team rating.
