Family situation may require me to be out of town for a few days at some point soon, and while I have a couple of volunteers already to look after my team for me I was wondering if accessing Whatif/HD via cell was possible or convenient?

My current cell is a bare bones number but I've been seriously thinking of upgrading it.  If there's a chance of watching my team via mobile, what do I need to look for in a new cell?

I just recruited via my Evo 4G for the first time this weekend and it was slightly easier than I expected.  No internet in my new apartment yet...

Instead of upgrading my phone, I went and picked up a netbook that is perfect for travel.  Can pick one up for as little as $200.  At the time I also had Netflix, so I could stream my movies directly on the netbook.  It really is a nice option if you don't think you'll get the full use out of the phone upgrade.

I've been running my team with my cellphone for the last 2 seasons, it is a little trickier then with a computer but still very possible. My biggest problem is I can't schedule non conference games cuz I can only see like 10 teams on my phone lol

I travel a lot for work, so I face this situation often.  Many times I'm traveling and am in and out of meetings and in and out of a car all day long.  I have found recruiting via my iPhone4 to be very manageable.  It isn't perfect, but it works.  I usually try to plan ahead and have printouts of the recruit target list with me for quick reference to help speed it up and give me something bigger than the phone to look at.  Just be very careful and make sure you have clicked what you think you have clicked before you accept recruiting actions going through.

My advice would be to get a smart phone (iPhone, Droid, etc) if you can afford to do it.
