The Beer League, WIS's first Progressive League goes through baseball history two years at a time.
We're in the league center one team short of starting the 1969-70 season.
One of our long-time owners left after last season. It's the franchise which has been long known for its amazing outfield of Mickey Mantle, Rico Carty and Rocky Colavito, but they fell on hard times as Mickey's legs failed him and they found themselves with the first pick of the draft this year.
A new owner was assigned and picked Bert Blylevan in the first round, Bill Buckner in the second and Alan Foster in the third. That's the last we've heard of him and he hasn't opened sitemails, so we're setting a record by having three owners for a franchise during one off-season.
Let me know if you're interested in taking over this starried franchise now best known for its pitching rotation of Blylevan, Koosman, Holtzman and Merritt. We're ready to start the season when this team gets rostered.
Here's the roster.
