I tried pulling down a guy to my d3 team,   he isn't considering me and he now is 2 other teams but in all of my scouting trips i got messages like "   His father almost jumped out of the gym when I told him I what school I was from "  , "he kept stairing at me to make sure I was still there"   , "if we pursue him he will sign with us" ect ect.   Do I keep going after him or give up?  The one other school is a lower prestige but DivII, and the other has alot better prestige then me and is  a closer D3 school.

You can keep after him if you want but it is very likely a losing proposition. To win would likely cost you way more than you have available and be way more than the player is worth. I would look elsewhere.

You don't have the funds to battle a DII school.  Also, prestige means nothing when your enemy is DII.  Most players in RL would rather go to a bad DII school than a good DIII one.

None of those recruiting messages are meant to be literal or even particularly relevant. Be careful not to read into them.
