What are the requirements for making the leap? I'm going to stay at d2 for a while to build up my resume, but what would it take to break into the MAC? (Dream job is Miami OH)

I was able to get there after 4 seasons at D3 and 3 seasons at D2. Had 4 consecutive tournament appearances, but two were PI and 2 were NT. I was kind of surprised. I could not qualify for a lot of teams, but did get Mercer, which is one I wanted. Part of it will depend on how good Miami of Ohio is. I think I could only qualify for D- prestige schools. My overall record was 121-86, but my last 4 years were 93-33 so the more recent winning percentage was good, along with the 4 tournament appearances.

Right now Miami is a d+, but at the moment is 19-3 and looking like they will get a boost.

One thing I have noticed is that it seems that teams drop back fast after a bad year, so by the time you qualify, they may be D- again.
