When you apply for a job, is it possible for Simmy to get it over you? i.e. you apply as a longshot and are the only applicant. Do you automatically get the job?

longshot generally means "no" - whether or not there are other applicants

I cannot say that I know that it is impossible, but I think it is about a 1 in 100 or 1 in 1000 shot -

If you aren't rejected in one cycle, I think yes, in the end you would get the job, if enough cycles are left.
