Most high-high potential you've seen... Topic

What's the most high-high potential you've seen on one player (number of skills that have high-high potential)?

I just picked up a rather low-rated guard for my Texas-San Antonio team that has high-high potential in ATH/SPD/DEF/LP/PER/BH/PASS.  His ratings right now aren't very good, but if he lives up to his potential, he should be a stud by his senior season.

Nice player, sol. Can you RS him?
3/23/2011 9:08 AM
I should be able to.  I signed him for cheap.  The chances that I faced competition from other DI schools was slim, seeing his overall rating and the fact that he was towards the bottom of the list of DI guards in Texas.  And a DII school would have been crazy to fight me for him, considering how close he was to my school (170 miles).

Unless he just has a tendency towards not wanting to take a redshirt, he should be very willing.  My team is laden with seniors and juniors, so his best option would be to sit out this season anyway.

I would have signed him for my Florida team (with a RS).  Nice.

You should have used the redshirt button plus a couple of home visits to lock it down.  In any case, that's a good signing, congrats.

Thomas Allis

just signed him at D3 Carthage

ATH 38 Definitely wasn't the best athlete on the floor - unless I'm an idiot and/or this is the laziest kid ever, we can *dramatically* improve his athleticism.
SPD 65 Great speed at his position - with the right diet and conditioning he could be MUCH quicker than he is today.
REB 10
DEF 35 Defensive fundamentals need work - I really think we could see massive improvement by his Senior year.
BLK 9
LP 14 Doesn't look comfortable with his back to the basket - sky's the limit.
PE 53 Excellent outside shooter - I see such solid fundamentals that with enough practice I don't see why he can't be a *significantly* better shooter than he is today..
BH 61 Excellent ball handling skills - he has the raw skills to make me think he has *tremendous* upside.
P 33 Outstanding court vision and passing ability - with more experience I expect to see TREMENDOUS improvement.
WE 19
STA 64 Needs aerobic conditioning. Tires easily - even with that, I think we can really improve upon his conditioning.
DUR 25
FT 61.3%

That kid is pretty damn insane for a DIII player.  Only issue is his work ethic.  If you start him all four years though, he should still turn out to be a VERY elite DIII player.

I have a player on my Loyola (MD) team who is high potential in every category. His starting rating was 531.

jet, I had a guy a few seasons back who, like your guy, had high-high in 4-5 key categories, and a low WE. Even with 20+ starts each of his first two seasons, he only ended up hitting about 60% of his overall potential. My advice would be to pump a ton of practice into ~3 critical categories first, until those ratings improve significantly. Then you can diversify into other categories.

FYI Jet, the Speed comment is only regular high. But still amazing signing at D3, looks like you're going to hold on to your contender status for a while.

yeah i think i misread that at first actually.

i have a new practice strategy that i'm trying with my palm beach team that might maximize his potential better...or might not. we shall see.
