Looking for expansion owner in 78 Topic

Literally, build your squad from the ground up.

The (Expansion Era Pro League (EEPL) started in 62 with 16 teams and successfully expanded in 69 to 20 teams.

We will be expanding in 78 to 24 teams. 3 expansion owners have already claimed their expansion spots, so we're looking for only one more. See below for details on the expansion method we used in 69', and due its success, we'll be using the same for 78'. As a matter of fact the 69' expansion Montreal Expos, run by dreeves claimed the EEPL title in 76'.

Expansion

We're looking for 1 owner to claim one of the available AL teams (MIL, KC, SEA)

Expansion Draft
- 1977 owners will post 12 protected players. All unprotected players will be eligible for the expansion draft. We'll have 16 rounds and only a max of 4 players from ea of the current teams can be selected during the expansion draft. All players remaining after the expansion owner go back to their original teams, and owners can add them to their portected players as their keeper list for the 78' Regular Draft.

Regular Draft - Expansion teams will get the top 4 picks of the 78 draft in the 1ST round, and last 4 in all subsequent rounds.

Expansion owners will be exempt from the 35W rule (see League Rules) for the following 3 seasons (79, 80 and 81).

League Rules
  • No Cap, Waiver Wire

  • DH in the PL. Interleague play will require NL teams to play DH vs PL.

  • Must meet 35 Ws by G120, or drop 5 spots in the draft.

  • Real Life relocations (park or city) will be reflected in the league.

  • 4 AAA players are drafted. We don't use SIM generated.

Yearly Draft

  • Draft order is set by W/L. Tie breakers are decided by H2H, then Exp W% (Lowest gets higher pick)

  • RND 1 will run over the course of a week. After implementing this we have yet to have a missed pick in 2 drafts. Allsubsequent RNDs are set on a daily sched.
  • Only players listed in the pool are eligible for the draft
  • If you decide to move, you must do so with one of your regular draft scheduled picks. You will then have an extra pick added to the end of the RND following your last scheduled pick. For example, if you have 5 scheduled picks, and you make a park selection with your 4TH RND pick, a pick will be added to the end of the 6TH RND to make up for the player pick

  • Park Selections -You may change to an available park, which will move you to the city as well. We will retain league alignments. An owner may change divisions, but not leagues. For example if a PL owner decides to move to CAL, but he's currently in the PLE, he would move to the PLW and the most eastern team would move to the PLE. It would be a little strange to have CAL in an EST division.
  • If a player is listed who was part of someone's keeper list, then that player belongs to the owner who picked him during the draft. This is why reviewing the player pool to ensure that your guy isn't there is important. The reason for this rule is so that everything is laid out before hand and if we run into the issue it's been addressed. I've seen pools on hold for days because of this exact issue.

  • Missed Picks. For the RND 1, all time slots must be respected. For all subsequent RNDs, if there was a missed pick, you may select prior to your time slot as long as the owner before you has selected. You don't have to wait for your time slot.

  • Please post your picks in BOLD with POS
