I like basketball and been reading about this game. I have knowledge of the sport but i need help starting out. will one of you experienced coaches sitemail me and help me get started in this game and teach me the basics that i can build a competitive team?

Welcome to HD, cshays.  Right above your post there's a sticky called " *For New Players*: Mentor List" that includes a list of coaches who have agreed to be mentors.  It's a great place to start.

I'd also recommend that you ask lots of questions here on the board.  Don't be afraid of asking dumb questions - when you're starting out, there's no such thing as a dumb question.

I'm not starting out and I still ask dumb questions :)

Like ethan said, definetly use a mentor or two, use the coaches corner in your conference standings page to ask questions and ask questions here.Read through a lot of the discussions on the forum, they will have insights as well. Soak up the information!
