One thing that I think would make HD a lot of fun would be to have a Daily (perhaps Weekly) Headlines report generated each 1-5 cycles. The report doesn't have to be overly in-depth, but it could show things like:

1. Results from games between highly-ranked teams
2. Results from games between famous rival schools or coaches with long histories against each other
3. Great games from top players, maybe a Player of the Year "watch"
4. Notable record-breaking games, like high-scoring/low scoring/large margin, some buzzer-beaters, teams on winning streaks
5. Players that cross career stat thresholds
6. Chad Ford-type draft prospect board
7. Bubble watch when tournament time rolls around
8. Once-a-year prospect highlight summary
9. Once-a-year high school prospect summary

I know some of these might be in the works in different ways, but a report like gives coaches something to read every day, gets everyone more engaged and interested in the top teams, etc. Make it for 90% D1-only so that coaches have extra incentive to reach D1 (still giving headlines for major events at d2 and d3 but not the same depth, basically whatever would be on sportscenter in real life).
