Here's the ticket I just sent to support:

"In recruiting, I just lost Michael Noonan to N Illinois. According to bballer2117, N Illinois had less than $2k into him, all of it on the first cycle. I had $12k into him, with a very large prestige advantage and was the only one considered the whole way (except for the cycle after the failed redshirt inform).

I tried to inform of redshirt the cycle before signing, and that caused him to reject my scholarship. I dumped another $10k into him, "informed of no redshirt" and  reoffered the schollie. I was then the only one being considered for another few cycles. Finally, I disappeared completely off his considering list and he signed with N Illinois shortly thereafter. bballer2117 assures me that N Illinois put no additional money into Noonan during that period. So what happened? Once he rejects my schollie is that final? Or did I somehow misclick and not reoffer it?"

I'm pretty bummed.  Is this pretty standard for the "inform of RS" button?

odds are you forgot to offer a fresh schollie

that sucks. i know i clicked it at least once.  but i may have then closed that window before sending and went back to reevaluate and then forgot to click it when i came back and submitted it.

The rejected RS is not final.
I have had several guys I dumped money into the same cycle I applied the RS. I got the rejected msg... but then obviously re-recruited them with the extra effort and they signed with me even tho they had rejected the RS.
I have also had guys reject the RS and tell me to get lost and not accept anything after that.

I've done worse things -

pursue jucos with tons of effort - forgetting I had 6 guys in that class and could not sign them

recruiting on a blackberry promise starts instead of offering schollies

and more - you are not alone, if that happened

interesting.  did you have to re-offer the schollie in every case?

you know, i'm not certain, but the more i think about it the more confident i am that i did re-offer the schollie. i think i can remember checking the history to make sure the "scholarship offer pending" was up and that it was.

and to clarify- after i notified of RS i got two separate messages. the RS one said "you crazy" and the scholly one said something like "i'm not going to drag you along. i have to say no." and then the history said "declined scholarship offer"

obviously though, if the only thing that makes sense is me forgetting to reoffer the schollie that's probably what happened

You have to reoffer the schollie ONLY if he is peeved enough at the RS to decline the schollie you offered before,   Kids can send an angry message back but not decline the schollie
