Running a Fastbreak/Full Court Press Topic

I am coaching a Fastbreak/Full Court Press for the first time and so far have not done real well. My team is 1-3 with my win being 105-100 and I am giving up an average of 30 Free Throw Points a game! I figured it was because my players were slow and couldn't play defense; but my faster, better defensive players are the ones with the most fouls. Anyone have any insight in preventing fouls in a Full Court Press? Or How to just have a more successful defense with a Full Court Press?

Def helps lower fouls, so does superior ath/spd. The problem with your team is stamina. fb/fcp requires tremendous stamina, especially when you cannot run slowdown with fb. Your low stamina is hurting you badly.

I don't think your team is THAT slow but it is THAT unathletic (to tired to spell that right).  Your Centers are slow, I think you need speed at the 5 position in DII.   If you can get rebounders with a 40 or 45 in SPEED I think there is a benefit.

As Tianyi said, you need more STAMINA as well.   I like to play 12 on my press team.  I don't let them get to tired, I set their rest at fairly fresh.

As your IQ goes up the fouls will go down.
