The HD Interview: Weena Topic

At some point earlier this year, I proclaimed that I was going to bring back the apparently extinct HD Interview, which used to be a fun WIS staple.

To the surprise of no one, I've pretty much sat on my *** since then and done nothing.

But now, like good ol' St. Nick shimmying down your chimney just before midnight, I'm here to deliver the goods.

The following is what I hope to be the first in a series of HD interviews with some of the more compelling and irreverent coaches our game has to offer. I present to you ... The HD Interview: Weena.

Who is weena?
Weena is a 6 ft, 190 pound carbon based humanoid from Ohio. He is a renaissance man who has at times worked as a management consultant, optical warehouse operations manager, industrial/business trainer, graphic designer, and military supervisor.

If you could have a meal with three people (dead or alive), who would they be and why? (One or two of them must be HD coaches.)
I would like to break bread with former Ohio State and NBA star Jerry Lucas so I could learn how to improve my brain power, former Beatle and Traveling Willbury singer/guitar player George Harrison so I could find out who owned the monkey. and girt25 so he could pay for the meal.

Do you have an HD nemesis?

Just about everyone I play is my rival but jamespastine and swiftwsut are really high on the list.

What is your greatest sports moment?
I gave former NBA star Leonard "Truck" Robinson a quarter to make a phone call once at an airport in Phoenix..

What is your greatest sports moment that involves a wicker chair and a reference to a 16th century monarch?

Tsar Jovan Nenad of the Kingdon of Hungary had a strange birthmark. It was a finger wide black stripe that ran from his right temple down his body to his right foot. During the times when he rested in camp during his various campaigns to liberate the land, he would recline in a specially designed wicker chair. The chair was light colored except for a single black strip that paralled his own. He would make various decisions and rulings while sitting in the chair. The chair and ultimately the stripe became associated with decision making in the heat of a highly contested event and ultimately led to the design of the black striped referee shirts worn today.

Please list three unusual things that have happened to you. One can be completely made up.
I've told this one before but I once fell through the ice while climbing glaciers in Iceland. One time a buddy of mine and I were riding a bus from Dayton to Ft. Wayne. My friend had a guitar and we were in the back singing. 3 passengers came up and asked for our autographs because they thought were were Simon and Garfunkle traveling in disguise. One time while driving through New Mexico, I was abducted by an alien space commando and forced to drive him to Mama Rosita's Taco Cafe and Car Wash. He ordered 3 Grande Burritos and a Peach Smoothie. He then forced me to take him(?) to a Ryder Truck Rental store and made me co-sign the rental agreement. As he left the rental place he was stopped by the Highway Patrol for not wearing a seatbelt and I took off.

Favorite real-life athletes?
Sidd Finch, Secretariat, Scott Howard

Least favorite player from one of your HD teams?
I once had a player named Connie Knight. The kid ate garlic like candy and even after a shower no one could stand to dress next to him.

Please provide a list of all of the places that you have gotten online to check HD
Well if you don't count the hacks, Home (duh!), my friend's house, his sister's house, the library, and several other places.

What is your dream job -- both real life and HD?
In real life, I would love to be the CEO of Mr. Softie Ice Cream so I could get all the free sprinkles and chololate dip I want. In HD I would love to have seble's job so I could program the RNG in my favor.

You have a direct line to Santa -- what is the one present you'd like him to deliver to HD?
I'd like Santa to bring 5 5-star players 10 miles from my Southern Mississippi campus that no one else will recruit.

How did you end up in prison?
I was doing a documentary on oral hygene and I lost my ID. No matter how I tried, I couldn't convince the guards that I was just visiting. It's been over 7 years now and I might get my own cell soon so I don't have to sleep in the hallway anymore.

The Scott Howard comment is hilarious, but I admit it took some Googling to figure out the reference!!!
