Not being able to handle information which I have fairly acquired at my own discretion has always bothered me. I've always had the lingering hypothesis that allowing coaches to utilize the inherent value of the information they posses would serve to curb the cheating that surrounds fake or multiple usernames and increase the overall competitiveness of the world itself. Once each person can utilize the inherent value of the information in their possession through mutually beneficial sharing the then few people working together in collusion and the coach with 3 throw-away accounts will immediately be faced with the diminishing returns associated with continuing those actions. The world as a whole would become more competitive because the more diverse recruiting tactics will allow coaches greater access to players.
I realize there are a few specific changes needed for this system to work correctly, such as limiting access to the information relative to what division a coach is in, so DI and DIII teams aren't creating value for themselves by swapping useless information (this isn't a simulation for wall street banking, haha). I understand that some people want to play the game without ever having to communicate or deal with another individual, so I get the need for the current system, but besides a very few little guidelines like the one previously mention the world would pretty much be like thunderdome. The different scenarios, strategies, and personalities would make for an extremely interesting game, as well as a more realistic encompassing of the nature of competitive sports.
I think this Nietzschean version of HD has the possibility to be wildly intriguing.
