I was thinking about starting a theme league, it would be the first one I would run. This league would be called "There is no crying in baseball" where you would first be assigned a random team alphabetically (from random.org ) and then assigned a random year (by using random.com & baseball-reference.com rk#). So in this league you get what you get and you dont throw a fit!

You could get a 1927 Yankees team or a 1991 Royals or a 1887 Pittsburg Allleghenys team and you get all the players from that year. I was thinking that the teams that are not that good that can somehow get better AAA players just to give them some incentive to compete. Will this league work?
Another idea I had was the same thing but instead of getting any squad I keep pulling random numbers until you get a first place team. For instance if the Phillies are your random team then I use random.com to keep pulling numbers to untill you get a first place Phils team. There may be a chance two owners get the same team and that is ok too.
Yet another idea with the same concept is that you must take 15 players from the team you recieve and the rest can be AAA u-pick em.
What do you guys think of this idea?
