I thought you needed 4800 PAs in open leagues.  It appears to have changed to 5000.  Anyone see an update on this or was I mistaken.

It says 4800 when I open a new team.

Remember that it's PAs, not ABs.  And PAs accumulated by your pitchers don't count toward that total.

Its 4800 for owners with HOFMC ratios above 4.

I thought the last update changed the ratio back down to 3.14159 or something near that.....

When WIS first introduced minimum IP and PA requirements, they were initially set at 1250 IP's and 5000 PA's.  They changed the numbers to 1200 and 4800 shortly thereafter, maybe only a week or two later if I recall correctly.  But they never corrected that info in the draft center notes at the top of the page.

It is highly recommended to draft at least 1,500 innings pitched and 6,000 plate appearances in order to successfully handle a 162-game Open League schedule. In addition, non-theme leagues (such as this one), require you to draft a minimum of 1,250 innings pitched and 5,000 plate appearances.

I just copied this from the open league draft center.  Looks like it must have been bumped up to 5,000 PAs.  I must not have the proper HOFMC number. :-)

Look just below that, at the "number of PA still to be drafted" field.  It says 4800.  That's all you need.

It is physically impossible to draft over 6,000 Pa's in an OL without including Mario Mendosa, Bob Uecker or the UPS guy on your roster.
