#WHIP or #OAV ? Topic

I know it is a steep climb anyway but i a high cap Coors environment, which of these two is most effective in holding down the offense?: #OAV or #WHIP? Or something else? thanks, bbcc

OAV is much more important. Hits hurt way more than walks in Coors.

I was just backwards mimicking boogs.I have never played in Coors, but I was going to say oav# too. Probably keep the HR/9 down as well.

thanks chisox. your followup answers my question to jfranco. I am not fond of playing Coors either. My initial question was about how to defend myself when I get there.

Look for pitchers with sub .200 OAV# and who don't give up a lot of HRs.  The low OAV guys may give up more walks. But just as jfranco said, hits will do more damage at Coors than walks.
