This is just a question on window dressing.  I've been looking through high school prospects for next season for my Seton Hall team in Smith and it appears that the best scorers cap out at 42.0 PPG.  Has anyone ever seen higher or is this the legitimate cap?

It's just odd to see all the best players averaging 42.0 PPG.  I know it's just window dressing and it's far from EVERY player that has this, but it'd be interesting to see some small-town Idaho kid average 52.0 PPG or something like that.  It's far from a necessary change, so I'm not even really asking for it to be changed, I'm just interested to know if anyone else noticed this minor detail. :P

yep, i have.  Also, the highest 3FG% I've seen for HS kids is 58.3%, and I've seen that figure for about half the decent guards in D1 it seems.

FG% seems to cap at like 70% or something like that - seen the same value for lots of kids...none of it matters except FT% anyway...

You would think a statistic like 3PT field goal percentage would be more meaningful.  If someone show 58% from 3 in high school, it would certainly catch my attention as a D-1 coach.

but it depends on the opponents right? pretty much every basketball player I know that plays in college can drain 3s in practice at a 70% clip.
