Which player should play at 2 and which should play at the 3?

I realize neither is ideal but this is what I have to work with:

Player 1:

i dont think meadow is fast enough for the 2,,, and he has better rebounding... so i'd but him at SF....

but this is coming from a guy who has no sf on his team either

+1. no doubt, with that speed, you simply don't have a choice IMO. and with meadow having better reb, worse spd, bh, pass, i guess i dont see any reasons to play meadow at sg, they all seem to point to sf.

meadow has 86 PER though... Scala is obv faster but that speed could give me a big edge at the 3.

Basically a guy who is a much better shooter, but may be too slow to get open, VS. a guy who is fast enough to get open but not a great shooter.

sf's who shoot the 3 can be helpful - forces people to play more + defenses letting you get more rebounds if you have good inside players...

not necessarily, especially if he is athletic, quick and can defend. you can get shooting from the 1 and 3

in general I mean - I haven't looked closely at UT yet...I'll do that and make another comment...

Scala's per is ok, and his lp is good as well. He's got great bh and is a good FT shooter. Put him at the 2 and set him to -1 , put Meadow at the 3 imho.

ETA: If you want to put Meadow and his 56 spd at the 2 though with your M2M defense, I'm ok with that, especially against us. I 'd expect Gentry to have a very fine afternoon in that case...

There's plenty of teams out there with sg's who don't shoot the three. I don't know who your pg is, but if he and your SF can shoot it, thats all you need really. You don't need 3 guys gunning threes all game.

My Senior PG is a holdover from the previous coach who is not that athletic, not that quick, and has a 59 PER... not a 3 pt threat:

Also, since I think most teams will be going at least -2 on me, a slow SG might be OK since he'll have a little more space/time to get open?

A slow SG is much more of a liability than one who can't shoot.  Lots of good SGs aren't great shooters in this game...
