There is something to be said, though, for the fact that if he just waits for the offseason, he'd probably be accepted at a Montana State or something like that.
Understood, but this still appears indicative of a glitch or something, and they should just go ahead and fix it now. Save themselves further tickets whenever this (undoubtedly) comes up again in the future.

Eligibility shouldn't vary from the jobs processing time and the off season should it? If not, something is wrong, send a ticket (my opinion). If you think jobs should have different qualifications depending upon the calendar, then I guess you wouldn't send a ticket.

When we say differ by calendar, are we asking whether a coach that took a break should be able to get a head start over coaches that never left? If that's the q, it seems pretty clear that no head start should be the ideal...

I appreciate everyone's advice.  I did send a ticket and CS was very helpful but did give me a slight runaround with a reason.  Please keep in mind that I am not asking to easily be tossed back into a GREAT school.  I was assuming that a BCS school or even a D1 with a Prestige of C or better would be tough.  But not even being eligible for a D2 D- school is what threw me off.

I like the change with loyalty and jobs process but I think they over did it a bit.  If my ceiling was a D2 school with no better than a B prestige, i could have understood that.  Forcing to D3 is a bit much.

push back at CS. First level response rarely even knows what they're talking about, let alone offer any real help.
