why Vern Law costs more than Bob Purkey. What am I missing? Is the fielding that much of a difference? Purkey is superior in every + category, pitches more innnings, and more IP/9. Purkey has a pitching WAR of 3.0, Law 1.7.
The big difference is that Law hit .311 to Purkey's .052. Law had an offensive WAR of .8, whereas Purkey was -.6.
Do salaries include the pitchers offensive stats?
