I've been given an 11th nc game this season. Yes we all get them from time to time but..... My team is an SEC team, B+ prestige, went nt second round last season. This season 9-1, after 9 games had rpi in top 25. My 11th game is a crap team  0-10, rpi 310+. Why would a team from the SEC schedule a team like this, and why aren't 11th games scheduled against teams which are more similar to the other teams level? In my tickets, I get responses like "These games are necessary" and "This will not affect your nt tournament or seeding". Tell that to anybody who has ever got a one seed in the pit. IMO, Of course this affects your postseason. So a quick survey...If your team was in a similar situation, what would your response be?

A) It affects my season a lot, I'm ******!
B) It affects my season a little, I'm annoyed.
C) It might affect my season, but not enough to bother with it.
D)No affect, who cares?
E) In the new tournament seedings, it doesn't matter much.
F) What are you talking about?

It depends on how the new engine treats wins over terrible teams.  In the old system, in which seeding was rooted almost solely in RPI, an 0-27 team could have had a significant effect.  Now, I'm not sure, it probably doesn't affect your team as much, but it still seems ridiculous for CS to affirmatively say it won't affect you.

I still don't know why with all the worlds being half empty that these 11th games aren't between sim teams and humans left out of it...

Now with Allen world being what it is....Ole Miss stands like this:

19-6, 9-5 2nd in SEC South.
RPI 67, SOS 139, 8-2 in last ten, 12-2 road record. 4-3 v. top 64, 52nd in projection report.
If things stay as they are now, I will be one of the "First 5 out" in the NT selections. I can't seem to get a straight answer from my tickets on this.

With a couple of big games left as well as the CT things could easily change, and I don't mind being bumped to the PIT, but I don't want to be sent as a result of unnecessary scheduling of a crappy sim (Lehigh is now 2-20/314 rpi) Anyone have any feedback on this?I also think its ridiculous for them to say it won't have an effect .

I would be fuming over this. If the season ended today, it's pretty clear that 11th game would cost you an NT spot. Scheduling is *very* important, and for it to be taken out of your hands is not right. I agree with dacj... make these 11th games between Sim teams, not paying customers who often are spending a lot of time and effort coming up with appropriate schedules.
