My Colorado team did not make the NT, instead got the #4 seed in the PIT. http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Ratings.aspx?tid=14640

My team information: 16-12 record, 49 RPI and 15 SOS, 5 wins against top 50 RPI, 0-6 v. top 25

One of the last teams in was Ferrum 16-12, 91 RPI and 22 SOS, 2 wins against top 50 RPI, 2-7 v. top 25

I play in a conference with this team http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Ratings.aspx?tid=14639 currently (29-0) and lost to them 3 teams in the last five games of my season. I am however the only team that took them to overtime all year.

Was my team hosed? I thought I would be in line for a NT spot as a double digit seed but then I see this team and it bothers me, do I have a real complaint?

No justificiation either way- but the facts I see when looking:  (I'm not sure where you get 5 wins vs. top 50 RPI...)

1-9 vs. RPi top 50
4-3 vs. RPI 51-100

ya you lost 3 games against the RPI 51-100. Im guessing the 16-12 record had something to do with it. You also went 9-7 in conference play which also played a key factor

I meant top 100 sorry, the other team was 16-12 as well. I lost to #1 overall team 2 of my last 3 regular season games and lost to them in CT. I suppose neither of us should have made it, but more upset when I see a team I think I should have been taken over.

Yeah, with basically no quality wins, I really don't see this as a snub.

No real quality wins and 12 losses.

I guess I was placing way too much importance on RPI

RPI has been de-emphasized since the update to NT selection criteria. You used to be able to manipulate your way to a great RPI without playing any quality teams and get a bid pretty easily. Not any more.
