Remember that any ABs or IPs carry over to the regular season as far as fatigue is concerned. IOW, if a guy is capable of 500ABs before starting to fatigue and you bat him 50 times in ST, then you are going to see him start to drop below 100% fatigue after 450 regular season ABs.
Well, not quite. The fatigue model for position players is a little more complex and dynamic than that.
For position players, as long as you keep your guys down to no more than 25 AB's or so, you should be fine in the regular season with no impact on their fatigue from ST games. There's really no reason to give anybody more than that. It's when you do push them hard (18 games, 75 AB's) that you will see early fatigue during the regular season.
Pitchers work differently with respect to fatigue. They fatigue and recover on much shorter and predictable cycles. No reason to give them more than 3 or 4 appearances, 10 IP's. The minor league guys who get the work in the last couple of ST games may see fatigue at the beginning of the regular minor league season, but they'll recover after the first game or two (depending on how hard they were worked at the end of ST).
