The world I'm in has started the minor league playoffs, and in setting my rotations, I figure to use my top 3 guys, and maybe a 4th guy if he is needed for an occasional start. I understand why WIS picks out your next starter in line for the next game as soon as the game before it is simmed. However, if it were real life, I might change my starter based on how the last game went. It would be nice if we could set a "if Game 3 is won" starter and a "if Game 3 is lost" starter. Does that make sense?
Game 1: Starter 1
Game 2: Starter 2
OFF DAY
Game 3: Starter 3
Say I split Games 1 and 2. I go into Game 3 knowing I will either be down 2-1 or up 2-1 after it is over, obviously. But I have to set my Game 4 starter before I know which it will be. If I win Game 3 to go up 2-1, I would prefer to have Starter 4 pitch Game 4, thus saving my #1 starter for either the decisive Game 5 or for Game 1 of the next round should I close the series out in Game 4. But if I lose Game 3, then I would like my #1 guy to come back to pitch Game 4, down 2-1.
If there is some way we can have that option, to check some "if win" or "if lose" box to determine our next starter, then that would be great.
