Thanks for your thoughts, guys. We'll take his pitch count down and hope that he comes around. But just to make sure I understand what you're suggesting:
Even though he has a crazy combination of stamina and durability, Ontiveros could be struggling because he's not able to remain effective at high pitch counts? As in, he can handle the pitch count from a dur/sta standpoint but he can't excel over that many pitches from a performance standpoint?
I think he should be perfectly fine at 120P per G.
He's played 7 away from Burlington and 4 at Burlington, that's basically a 2-1 Away split, that won't help his numbers; in addition he gave up 7HR, and 14ERin 15IP across two games, which is inflating his basic numbers. If you take those away, he has an ERA about 3.5, and considering its apparently an offensive league, and he's playing most of his games on the road, that looks more reasonable.
It's possible, he's facing a lot of LHB, which isn't helping him, otherwise i would expect it to be a case of defensive inefficiency.
