Posting this because posting in the NBA forums has resulted in no response from Admin ever! Admin ignores the NBA sim for 50 weeks a year, showing up only when they release the new players. At times even that has taken up to 4-5 months (seriously). Unfortunately, we in the NBA sim pay the same $10 that everyone else does, but we don't get the same level of product. It has caused many good nba sim owners to quit playing.
Example of ridiculousness: Bill Russell is widely regarded as the best defender of all time, but he gets penalized by WIS bball because he never made an all-defensive team or defensive player of the year. The funny thing is, those awards did not exist in his day. So WIS PENALIZES the best defender ever for not winning an award that didn't exist!!! Common sense anyone? It would not take much time to fix many of these issues, but WIS won't even address that they exist.
1. Raise the OL cap to 47 mil.
2. Eliminate all OL rookies (only if cap is raised).
3. Timeouts - we want to see them in use for subs and minute regulation.
4. Variable league sizes. If you can't do it, tell us why.
5. Substitution logic - fix it. There is something VERY wrong with it and that is obvious to us all here. Make it logical! I also could see the SIM leaving enough usage points on the floor at all times if at all possible.
6. More coaching control. End of game and other situational setups. Lineup and tempo adjustments saved vs. each opponent. These could be endless really, but a little something would be nice.
7. Turnover % as a viewable stat. This should be easy.
8. SIM league advanced stats for each player. Again this should be easy.
9. OT fatigue. Get rid of it or allow for subs in OT. It disproportionately affects those with lower minute players as starters.
10. Fix defensive ratings for pre-DPOTY players. The word travesty comes to mind regarding Russell. Would you dream of taking 30 points off of Babe Ruth's batting average??
11. 4-point plays are a rarity in the NBA, yet plague the SIM league. 3-point shooters just do not get fouled at the same rate that paint players do. Adjust this accordingly.
