If you are in a battle with someone and are leading and want to make a final push to get the recruit, which cycle is the best to accomplish this?  Do you drop the load to have it register for the cycle when signings start, or do you drop it the cycle before??  What are your thoughts?

Do it as early as possible. The more you string it out the more money you are going to end up spending because the other guy will continue to think he has a chance.

If you are in a battle then wait until after signing has started and hammer it the night after.  If they don't do the same then there are so many cycles that night it gives you an advantage and the recruit may sign without them having a chance to fight you again.
