Arm Strength vs OVR Topic

When I see a position player who's OVR is significantly higher than what I think his value really is I always look at his durability first. I don't put much stock into DURs over 80, so naturally guys with 95 DUR will be overrated.

When his DUR is only 80ish it gets puzzling from there, but what I think I've noticed is they usually tend to be guys with high arm strength. 3B and RF types. Might not be able to hit well or even add much defensive value, but if they have high arm strength their OVR shoots way up. Anyone else think AS is a disproportionate variable?

Yes I agree.  I dont even know if I've looked at a 3B or CF in the past dozen drafts because of how awful they all are.

I think arm strength actually gets a little underrated sometimes.

For example, I think most people would take a 90/85/85/85 shortstop over an 85/85/90/85 shortstop. But I'm not sure there will be a difference in the (+) plays between the two of them.

Robbins has great speed and good power...his rating makes sense.  Not sure I can see Garcia deserving a 77.

Power and Speed driving it up on Robbins.
