Is it true that the more effort you put in, the more likely he's going to play for you rather than going JUCO? And how do promised start/PT work; do they carry into the following season?

it is theoretically true that more effort increases chances, but a lot of it is determined by other factors (kid's"personality" and such). Promised start gets trumped by the ineligible tag, but he might pass SAT before season starts and expect the promise to be kept (rare). I can't remember if promised minutes are an issue for ineligibles or if they work like starts...

that is the forum rumor, but I think it is a crap-shoot whether or not they show up (i have had guys I have dumped tons of cash into not show and then guys I have spent next to nothing on show up), but the effort definitely carries over to the next recruiting season.

 - that is a real life example of that happening to me.  he didn't show up on campus the year I recruited him, but was considering me when recruiting started the next season, which was great, because I only had to spend 100 for a schollie on him.
I know not all CS responses are created equal but in response to a ticket I submitted in 12/2010 they have said that increasing $$ does increase the chance of reporting but "there is no guarantee"
