ALL Guards, Man to Man defense

Player 1:

DEF: 45

Player 2

SPD: 67
DEF: 74

I think they are about equal.  Would player one be better against high speed, high ball handling, drive to the basket type guards and Player three be better on the perimeter?  

i'm sure others will have different opinions but for me personally i'd stick with #3 every time.

I like #3 as well...but maybe #1 against a fastbreak offense?

i would disagree with that completely.  better speed, yes...but also more possessions in a fb game which means more opportunities for his very weak defense to be exposed in the man to man

if i were going to take that approach i'd start #2 in that situation before #1.  doesn't have the same speed, but is faster than 3 and a better defender than 1

Player 3 would be better against SG/SF, who tend to be slower players, and Player 2 would be better guarding PGs.

I would take #2 against driving PGs; in my experience high speed does not make up for low DEF, if you have to start #1 start him against the worst opposing offensive player

I like Player 3 in just about all situations other than defending a fast point guard - I'd go w/ #2 in that situation.
