Using revocable waivers to send a guy down Topic

If I get a guy with zero options left to pass through Revocable Waivers, after the trade deadline, I can then send him to AAA and replace him, correct?

Right.  Actually, you can replace him with someone else as soon as you put him on revocable waivers.

Incorrect.  He's not off the 25 man when on waivers.   You're thinking designate for assignment.

But after he clears I can send him down, correct Mike?

Yes.

JUST DESIGNATE HIM THEN!  It accomplishes the same thing AND clears a spot on the 25-man.

Except there are no revocable designations.

Wrong.  In a league that is past the trade deadline, select a player and click "Designate".  You'll get an option for regular waivers or revocable waivers.

I stand corrected.  I've never done that.

Can i send him down right away then....If I designate?

That seems to be what Todd is saying.  Give it a try and see what happens.

No. He still has to clear waivers but he frees up a spot on your 25.    If he's claimed, you'll have to trade him, I believe.

But once he clear waivers (revocable)...then I can demote him, right?

Yup.  You can throw him into Rookie league if you want.
