I am  an experiienced real life hoops head coach. I have an experienced team. After the first 2 games of the year a number of Senior & Junior  players are or have maxed out in certain individual categories. Here is my suggestion/request.

After players have maxed out in some areas, how about making it possible for them to move their minutes to the team offense category. At this point they are probably a B to an A-. They would have an opportunity to improve to the top level of their O or D or  even work on another. (Example - Press to M/M.) As your game now sets, if maxed out the team is penalized because thru hard work and coaching it can not improve as much over the course of the year while other teams are improving. The players just sit there accomplishinng nothing.

If you allowed them to move minutes to more team skills improvement it would be more like a real life situation and they could continue to improve throughout  the year. Even if you maxed the total individual team O & D minutes at 25, it would be far more realistic than it is now.  In real life, there is no Fastbreak Offense or Full Court Presw Defense as you have it set in this game. I ran a sideline Fastbreak to a quick hitter (sedcondary break) to a motion. I ran fullcourt press to a man or zone depending on the situation. My point is let them improve the team past their individual skills. They would have the opportunity to go from a B to an A+.

A good coach and a player with a good work ethic should not be penalized because the player reaches his full individual potential but can't help the team improve because he can't put in the extra time on O & D. As it is now, I have 6 juniors most of who are going to stay pretty close to where the team is now for the next 2 years while other teams improve.

I would be happy to discuss any of this further. Thanks for your consideration. I'd like to play this game for some time  in the future..
