In my experience, whether players leave is pretty much both a random and a rare act. I have tried repeatedly to expunge weak upperclass links from teams I've taken over by annoying them to the point of quitting/transferring and I have yet to actually have it work. I know I've heard that it happens and that players do leave, but I'm not sure there's anything you can do to influence that decision beyond simply annoying them to the point of the second complaint email and then hoping to get lucky. (i.e-I'm not sure not meeting a kid's expectation by 10 minutes is any worse than not meeting that expectation by 5 minutes)

Agreed with rednu.

I wish that if a SO or JR is getting little to no minutes they would always transfer, instead it's a crapshoot where you'll get message after message saying they're going to leave and then the player will end up staying. Dumb.

I once got an email saying they were gonna leave the team at the end of the season and they came back, but I wanted him gone.
I also had a guy I wanted to keep and tried upping his minutes, but he left me.

My assumption therefore is if you want him to go he will stay and vice versa

If only I could send him the reverse SHA-BANG! message.

I so much wish we had a drop down menu that allowed you options like

a. make player wash team laundry

b. you owe me 100 suicides

c.  cuss out player in front of team

d. choke player during practice

or other ways to get a guy to leave

I saw everything but option D on my high school team... no one transferred though. Well technically 2 1/2 because no one was ever honest in running their suicides.
