The first season of the Bulantz Baseball League is entering the playoffs. Unfortunately we have had 2 owners vanish and need replacements for the 2nd season 1963.

This league is a typical progressive league with one exception. You can only keep 8 players each season. This league is named after longtime live player bulantz (currently retired). He ran a similar league that I always enjoyed. With only 8 keepers it forces owners to make tough choices and creates a larger draft pool.

Hey bulantz why don't you come out of retirement and join this league?

Another team has bailed leaving us with 3 openings. We can't even get a bite to fill the other 2 openings. Not looking good for this league to make it.

I am sorry that this format most likely won't play out and sorry for those who spent time drafting and playing the 1st season.

As for dubrightway this is the 3rd time you have bailed on me in a progressive league. I understand that stuff comes up but this is baseball and 3 strikes and yer out buddy!

This is the kind of stuff that led to this league's namesake leaving the site. He might have had the right idea.

I really enjoyed the first season and I was hoping to continue. I like the rule for only keeping 8 from year to year so that even having a losing team doesn't preclude having a winning team the next season.

It is too bad jkorn. I loved this format before but if we can't even get 16 live players to think the same I guess this is dead.

I will take a 2nd team (Wrigley) if absolutely needed. For some reason, it's been slow the last 2 weeks, maybe due to the nice weather. Now that it's crappy weather this weekend, maybe people will play. Of course, in a 16-team league, 16 different owners are preferred.

So, will this league be a one season and out league??
