Ability to write "articles" Topic

I have a crazy idea -- what if coaches could write articles for other coaches too see, it could be divided into Divisions and than conferences and coaches could submit articles about the world.

It wouldn't have to be about your team either, if you just wanted to sound off about a particularly big match up. I think this would be a really, really amazing feature for a number of reason: For one, coaches could "interview" other coaches and therefore you get better relationships and than rivalries build up as coaches say certain things and before you know it general activity would be way up. Secondly, it's a great way to hone your writing skills (as you can see my grammar isn't perfect lol, cut me some slack I'm only 15) and give other people advice on their articles. And finally, how cool would it be that if you logged on and could check the news and learn the "bio" of a player or coach (made up of course) or you see an article on a team in your conferences big upcoming game....

I can't imagine I'm the only one who would like to write these things, idk if this would be possible to install, but in all the games I've played, the more personal the games get the more active they get.

It's been done a few times in the past, usually in the forum for that specific world.  Some of them were very good, well written and entertaining.  I remember one coach choosing a "Game of the Day" for his particular conference and doing a big writeup about it.  Was fun to read.

P.S.  No need to cut you any slack on your grammar, there are a couple of very minor mistakes, but for the most part it looks good.  You write well for a 15 year old, are you considering it as a possible career?

Go for it. As Dcy said, try it in the world specific forum. I did something like this with my own personal "top 25" one year. It was fun to update 2 or 3 times a week and argue with other coaches I  (unintentionally) dissed by not ranking their team high enough. If you have any grammar questions, I've taught English and ESL in North America, in Aussie and Kiwi schools and all over Asia for the last ten years. Shoot me a sitemail if you have some questions.

Check out Iba and Rupp forums, as they have great features. Wooden also has challenges and the like, but not much editorial stuff. I'd love to contribute, I tried doing something in the Rupp forums for a little while. (Keuka Press Clippings)

Both my parents are journalists, or were journalists rather, both lost their jobs this year. I want to be a basketball coach actually lol.

Back in Allen I did this with the Midwest conference.  It's fun but can get extremely time-consuming.  And I'm a college student so I'm not far off from your age, but again, it's time-consuming, so it's up to you whether you really want to put effort into it.  I went so far as to make my own pre-season all-american teams in both Knight and Allen for the Midwest Conference forever ago and at one point tried to preview every conference game (including predicting the player of the game and such) and would (sometimes) even compare the actual results to my prediction, but it just took too much time out of my day.

Hbd has the blog option. It just takes so much time.

I was thinking more in-game that way people could just write when they felt like and wouldn't feel "tied down" I guess haha.

I did my pre-season all-american projections on the coaches' corner.  You could always post there, though some people might find really long posts to be annoying.
