If you change the foul setting to aggressive, your starters will get more playing time. Basicly, they'll stay in longer when foul trouble occurs.
You're shooting 49% for the season, no problem there but your guard aren't shooting 3's. I suspect you have them at -1 or -2. I'd change all 4 guards setting to '0' After a few games, you can alter if again if not satisfied.
Remember: hitting 33% of your 3's gives you the same number of points as hitting 50% from inside
about how much more time would you estimate a player would stay in the game set to more aggressive? Does tempo play a factor in this as well? And what is the formula used to come up with the 33% 3 pt - 50% FG ratio? I know it's a lot of questions!!
Tempo always affects playing time..the more tired, the less time. I'm not sure how many more minutes the aggressive setting gives you. But two early fouls won't sit a player for the entire first half.
The 3-pt. formula is mathematical. A 3-pt. shot gives you 1 1/2 times as many points as a 2-pt. shot. Therefore, your guard can shoot a lower percentage from behind the arc while scoring the same # of points as your center.
Here's how I compare my shooters:
If my guard has hit 20 of 45 overall for the season, that's 44.4%. Of those 20 successes, 8 of them are 3's. Take 1/2 of 8 and add it to 20. So, his adjusted shooting is 24 of 45, or 53.3%. That's better than my center who's shooting 49% for the year.
